How GIC started at FBC Callahan
About 10 years ago, Pastor Lynn Hyatt had a vision to change how we do missions. Instead of just writing a check, he wanted us to follow God’s command, and go into Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Ends of the Earth and be witnesses of Jesus. So, this inspiration prompted a conversation with a group called Global Focus that helped us establish our very first Global Impact Celebration in 2004. Each year, we have gathered as a church to celebrate with missionaries from all over Nassau and Duval Counties (Jerusalem), North Florida and Southeast Georgia (Judea) , the United States (Samaria), and from the Ends of the Earth. We have begun new partnerships, and have seen disciples made because of the personal involvement of our church members. To God be all of the glory for what He has accomplished through a small church in a small town. But we have so much work left to do. Will you join us?
