Paul AdamsThe great need and the incredible opportunity.
Shortly after graduating from grad school, where I studied principles for interpreting the Bible, I was introduced to Leadership Resources, a missions organization that seeks to take encouragement and mentoring and training to pastors around the world, teaching them to study and teach God's Word with God's heart. After hearing about the tremendous need (85% of pastors overseas have little or no Bible training), I thought, "How incredible would it be to take what I've learned to pastors overseas who will never have the opportunity to come to a school like I've been to."
After talking with Leadership Resources, they offered for me to come on staff to write (helping to develop their curriculum) and teach (going two or three times a year overseas to be a part of the training). The opportunity was more than I ever imagined.
After praying about it, I couldn't get away from those two things: the tremendous need (and the gift God had given me of what I had learned to help meet that need) and the wonderful opportunity (to be a part of an organization going and helping pastors. So I said yes.
Ernest ClarkA clear calling from the Lord to get the Gospel to the deaf, especially those who have no access to Sign Language in other countries and who have no access to it through preaching, literature, radio, or TV.
Mike EdwardsMarty & I went on our first mission trip in November of 2004. After returning we knew something was different but did not talk about it with each other. After returning to Honduras in June of 2005 the feeling was stronger but still uncertain of how to approach each other. In June of 2006 we were once again in Honduras and God broke our hearts and we both realized the call on our lives to go full-time into the mission field. That's when se surrendered to God's call on our lives for full-time missionary service.

Daniel GoombiI believe that we are all called to serve the Lord and spread his gospel everywhere the Lord takes us, and in our case the Lord took us to another state to serve people groups we had previously not known. We became "official missionaries" from the North American Mission Board because we understood that many churches would want to see that official "missionary" stamp of approval, however we know that we would have or will continue missions work among these Native American Tribes even without the official "missionary" label. We know that the Lord brought our family to Kansas, and we have been blessed in many ways to see how the Lord continues to move among the Native Tribes within Kansas.
Randy GreenI was called to be a missionary at age 17 at a church service in Phoenix, AZ. God made it clear to me that his was His plan for my life.

Chad MeadowsAt a very young age God showed me that I was called into the ministry. His hand led me throughout the years and has directed me to where I am today.

Ken WelbornAfter ministering in Texas for 3.5 years, God called me in 1998 to serve Him in New York City as a missionary to the nations (through NAMB), at the United Nations, again through a divine encounter.
Stacy WilliamsOn August 10, 1983 during a quiet time, the Lord put a burden on our hearts to stand up for life. We knew that one day there would be a home for girls. Meanwhile, we just put one foot in front of the other, relying on Him to lead us in the direction to which He was calling.
Shelly WilliamsonI wanted to surrender more and more of my life to Christ's leading. I actually felt I was a "missionary" in my home and local church prior to Noel being called into full-time vocational ministry/missionary work which lead him to seminary and appointment by the NAMB.
Glenn YoungbloodAs a Police Officer, I come in contact with every sort of individual & nationality, but I have the opportunity to share my faith on a regular basis. Friends of mine were Gideons and they provided New Testaments to give away and I was drawn to the Gideon ministry as the purest form of Christian Evangelism by spreading God's Word. Romans 10:17 says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God".
